Without any information, it's rather hard to guess... Maybe look into Windows event log to see if any error message was recorded?

There wasn't unfortunately. This seems to be a reoccurring problem for all Vista 64 bit users. Pretty much every Vista 64 bit user has OCTGN crash on them when trying to start a new game.

On my desk I have Vista 64 bit too. Today I have installed .NET 4 and OCTGN2 without issues. The program itself is a little bit slow (feels the same speed like on my netbook Shocked ) but install new game und deck builder are working. Join game dialog is working too.
Well, if I had tried to create a new game, OCTGN2 was freezed. I have rebooted Vista and then I was able to create and play some new games. But now OCTGN2 freezes again on start new game...

Best regards,

The only way I see a fix for this atm is to run this command:
netsh interface teredo set state disabled

Your going to have to use IPV4 or something like hamachi then to join/host games. That at least stops OCTGN from freezing though. It's unfortunate Vista 64 bit users can't run IPv6 with OCTGN atm.

Looks like a platform (Vista x64) problem to me. At least there's a workaround...

I'm not sure if it is. I'm using another program with IPv6 and it works just fine.

With IPv4 addresses drying up within a year I'd say it's important for any version of Windows to have this working, if it's possible to fix with OCTGN.

Just wondering, does anyone know once IPv4 is done with new addresses if hamachi will still working like normal?

I am actually having a problem as well on my vista 64.  I can run OCTGN just fine, but when I try to start a game (magic), the program freezes.  I just have to open task launcher and end it, but still, it's a pain.  Anyone have a fix on this?

Are you talking about this post?  I have no idea how to run that command.  I can't even click the start new game button.  it just freezes up if I do.

click the "Start" button (vista button located on the low left corner of your screen) then select "Execute" that will display a pop up window. There type "command" and click "OK" it will open a DOS window then type the mentionned command in this window and hit ENTER

I still cannot host a game without using Hamachi.
